Horizon Treadmills Ratings - Horizon T61 treadmill - Horizon Series treadmills

The Horizon treadmill ratings reveal that the series may suffer from serious quality issues. The design is not very innovative. In fact one review call the Horizon series "a lackluster bunch of poorly made treadmills with cheap parts" Other than those comments from the treadmill doctor's site, there isn't much more to say.

The authorities and experts on fitness equipment recommend that consumers spend at least $1,000 on a treadmill to get a quality machine. The Horizon series sells for a low of $599 - to a high of $1,000. Per the experts, "There is nothing exceptional about any of the Horizons treadmills except that it is better than the other treadmills that are produced by ICON which includes ProForm, Weslo, Image and Reekbok,

There is one feature that is considered above average on the Horizon series and that is the size of the belt. The belt measure 20"x55". This represents a reasonable size belt for the money. The motors on the units are weak with only a 1.75 hp motor.

The other problem with the Horizon series is that the warranty is very short. There is only a 1 year parts and 90 day labor warranty .

Horizon Treadmills Ratings for the T61

The Horizon T61 treadmill is also rated as a "cheaply built machine" This treadmill is priced to appeal to the mass market. The machine will be easily discarded when it breaks down which it will. Spending money on this machine is considered a waste of time and money.

The T61 treadmill does have a one year labor warranty. The promise from the manufacturer is that if it breaks down, Horizon will pick the machine up, repair it and return the machine to the owner. That is probably the scenario that is sure to happen with a machine that has an underpowered 1.75 hp motor.

The motor will strain during continuous usage and will probably burn out.

The Treadmill doctor recommends that this treadmill is "Worth skipping unless you like money pits." Rated below average for quality, reliability and power". Price: $700.00
